Smile File Folder Games

Having a daycare in my home for many years, I learned quickly how to not only *entertain* children when the weather is cold and/or wet outside, but also to teach them in the process - without them being aware they were *having school*! One of the best ways I learned was having lots and lots of File Folder Games for the children to use. There are many at Child Care Land and all of the children I've cared for through the years have loved them! Just print them out, paste them into a manila file folder (the directions are at the site), and learn away! Some of the older children used to like to cut them out and make them while the younger ones were napping, which also taught them many lessons as well! Enjoy
Hugs, Cynthia Robin

I must agree that file folder games are great! And they are not just for little ones. I homeschool and we use them as review for units that we have studied. Just make a generic board with a path. Have some fun squares (go ahead 2 spaces, lose a turn, etc) and cards with questions that you want to review. My children really love games so why not make it educational.
