Smile My 5 year old son's answer:

My son went in "school" the first time when he was only 16 months. I am a part time teacher in a private preschool in my town and he is now 5 and never missed a day at school since then. Now he will start his kidergarten and he is so excited about that! Here is his answer to your question: To Learn was his first answer. When I asked him why is it important to learn, he replied: "To be bright and to have a great job. I have to go to school a long time... the longer the better!" That's so cute lol!

My son Aiden, who is 3, is always asking when he'll be big enough to go to school, he's so excited about it! Now I know why... In answer to your question. "So I can have a cool Spiderman lunchbox!"

Default My 6 year old daughters reply

My daughter Savannah is 6 1/2 and she will be entering 1st grade. Her reply is so that she can have lunch, visit with friends, and hear the teachers tell stories. Oh also so she can go to the library and play computer.

My son, Phillip, is 4 years old (will turn 5 in September). I asked him this question and his response was to "make new friends and learn new things".

My 11 year old son, David, says he has to go to school because grown-ups want to take over his brain.
