Default Any other Homeschoolers here?

I have homeschooled my children for 10 years now. We took our 19 year old out of PS after 4th grade, and had him home till he graduated. He is now starting his sophomore year in college next month. We also have 9 and 11 year old girls we are homeschooling.

I have a 4 year old that I would like to home school but he and his Dad want to send him to PS. I was home schooled from 5th grade until I took my GED Actually I was done with home schooling and in college at age 16 and had to wait until I was 18 to take GED.

My girls are still very young, but I try to build learning activities into everyday play. My oldest will start preschool at a local church this Fall and then will move into public school in kindergarten next year. I'm considering homeschooling later on down the line, but for now we're going to give the schools a try.

Blessings,
Christy

Default Homeschoolers

I Have Just Enrolled My 10 Year Old Son And 11 Year Old Daughter In Homeschooling... I Refuse To Let My Daughter Be Exposed To The Public School System In California... Since She Is Starting Junior High And Will Be Going To School Off Base. The Kids Grow Up Too Fast... I Want Her To Hold Onto Her Childhood As Long As Possible. When We Go Back To Idaho, I May Send Them Back To Public School. Small Town, No Gang Activity. I Have To Admit, I Am Really Worried That My Son Will Be A Huge Handful. My Daughter Is Very Bright And A Great Self-starter, More Responsible And Needs Less Watching. My Son Has To Be Monitored At All Times.

Default We homeschool here

This will be my 2nd year homeschooling our kids. I have a 10 yr old and an 8 yr old, both girls, and then I have a 6 yr old son. We had to pull them from PS and it is the best thing we have ever done. I enjoy getting up each day and being welcomed, smiled at, and even crabbed at by my 3 blessings! Every day we learn, and every day is a new adventure!

We are starting our second year of homeschooling our three children ages 10, 8, and 3. Last year, school was in our kitchen. This year, we remodeled an extra room in our house to be our classroom. The kids are really excited about this year. Our three year old has been going through his "school supplies" and is asking when he can use them! I love it!

Default I Homeschool As Well!

I have a 12 yr old son that has a form of autism, and the public school just doesnt seem to meet his needs no matter what we try to do...so I resorted to homeschooling to secure his need for an education. I think its been a blessing to do this, hard but great.

Smile Homeschool mom to 1

Hi I am a Homeschool mom to my daughter age 8.
She is currently in the 2nd grade.
We have been HS'ing for 4 yrs. now.
We live in NC.
I did HS my niece and nephew as well, but they are in a
Private HS correspondence course from Landmark Freedom Baptist Church in
FL. They are ages 13 and 15. They did great with their school.
Does any state besides NC require a yearly Achievement Test after age 7?
How do ya'll feel about socilaization? We are in a HS support group.
feel free to email me any questions.
thanks!
KK
