Red Rover

Divide a group of kids; (the more the better), into 2 different teams. Each team stands 20 feet across from the other team (side), form the teams by holding hands, with the toughest kids in the middle. Flip a coin or ask Heads or Tails. The team that calls or gets Heads, goes first. The team calls, "Red Rover, Red Rover, Come On Over." One child at a time, runs over to the other team to break through the chain (their hands), this continues until none are standing. The winner is the first team to remain standing longer than 20 minutes.
(This game is especially good for 4th and 5th graders).


I played this game many times during my childhood & my children play it even today. It is soooo much fun!
